Barking & Dagenham College, Social Media

Challenge

Beyond out-of-home advertising, the college needed a cohesive social media presence that could meaningfully engage a younger 16 to 19 audience while also supporting national-level campaigns across multiple channels and formats. The existing strategy lacked the reach and structure needed to connect with prospective students where they spent their time.

Result

I created and implemented a 360 social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok, introducing TikTok as a new channel to engage the 16 to 19-year-old audience. Managing a team of three, the strategy delivered measurable increases in engagement college-wide.

I also managed marketing deliverables for the government-funded In-Work Training Programme, liaising with a third-party agency, designing a 20-page summary report, and supporting graduation event coordination.

Additionally, I designed week-long national campaigns for both National Apprenticeship Week and National Careers Week, delivered across social media, print, and live events.
